In 2022, the highest number of first births per thousand women were of women aged 30 with 63.8 per thousand women. In comparison, in 1994 this was the case for women aged 29 with 65.8 births per thousand women, while in 1970 it was women aged 24 with 95.8 births per thousand women. This statistic shows that in the past, women would have their first child earlier, and that more women were birthing children.
