Tipping in the U.S. has grown increasingly customary as more workers rely on tips to supplement their wage. This can be observed through the tipping habits of the general public. In 2023, approximately 41 percent of people in the U.S. reported that they always tip. The majority of Americans tip regularly, with only four percent stating that they rarely do.
