Number of male cancer-related deaths in South Africa 2018, by ethnicity
In 2018, the total number of male deaths related to cancer was the highest amongst the black African ethnicity group, with 11,077 reports. The white ethnicity group followed with 4,660 reports within the same year. It is important to note that some ethnicity groups are more at risk than others due to difficulties in accessing treatment, and/or the presence of another illness occurring at the same time. Additionally, the population numbers of each ethnic group are significantly different.
