In 2022, nearly six of every ten online purchases in Brazil were delivered with free delivery. The share of orders dispatched without shipping costs increased by almost three percentage points compared to the previous year.
Free delivery as percentage of online orders in Brazil from 2019 to 2022
The source uses a database of sales records reported by more than 5,000 e-commerce stores, with detailed information on purchase orders, products, and amounts paid. Based on secondary sources from partner companies and e-commerce platforms, the source estimates the sales volume commercialized by other stores to produce figures for the entire Brazilian e-commerce market.
Estimates exclude the sales of airline tickets, hotels, classifieds, food delivery or transport apps, and sales of Mercado Livre and other companies that sell used or artisanal products.
