According to an online survey conducted in 2022 in the United States, 66 percent of surveyed girls of color said they had come across racism on TikTok, with roughly one in ten respondents having encountered racism on a daily basis on the social media app. Overall, 65 percent of respondents had been exposed to racism on Instagram, while 53 percent had the same experience on Snapchat.
