According to the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), 150,000 men were living with someone of the same sex in France in 2018. Additionaly, this situation has become more frequent between 2011 and 2018, in particular before the age of 35. Indeed, the proportion of men in same-sex relationships increased from 0.6 to slightly more than one percent among 30-34 year olds, and from 0.2 to 0.6 percent among 20-24 year olds. However, this share did not increase among men over 65 years of age.
