News audiences in the United States were only marginally more interested in science news in 2021, according to the most recent data, with 27 percent of respondents to a survey saying they were very interested in the topic, an increase of just two percent compared to four years earlier. That being said, more consumers expressed at least some interest in reading news about science than those who did not.
