The residential and commercial sector accounted for most of the natural gas consumption in the United Kingdom from 2018 to 2022. Due to warmer temperatures in 2022, the residential and commercial sector's natural gas consumption increased from an estimated 51.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) in 2021 to an estimated 44 bcm in 2022. Meanwhile, the power generation sector was ranked second, with a natural gas consumption of an estimated 18.5 bcm in 2022.
