In 2022, over 114,000 people in Israel were licensed to drive taxis, classified under the class D1. This was a minor rise compared to the previous year. Throughout the period under review, the number of drivers holding licenses for taxis in Israel gradually increased. During these years, the total increase in the number of taxi drivers in the country was almost 12 percent.
