Supplementary notes
The personnel costs per employee from 2010 to 2020 were directly obtained from Eurostat, while the figures for 2021 were obtained from another table in Eurostat. The year-over-year growth rate was calculated using the quarterly cost index figures. That last indicator was calculated by averaging the quarterly data and calculating the annual growth rate.
The time series of the cost per employee was broken from 2014 to 2017, and in 2021. The figures for 2016 and 2017 are an estimation. The figures for the quarterly cost index were provisional.
