Two years into the reign of King Charles III, 65 percent of people in Great Britain supported keeping the British monarchy, compared with a quarter of Britons who wanted it to be replaced with an elected head of state. Although most people have expressed support for the monarchy throughout this period, support for an elected head of state has steadily grown, reaching the highest level in August 2023.
