Portugal: impact of the chip shortage on car purchasing intentions 2022
As of mid-April 2022, most of Portuguese survey respondents mentioned that if they had the intention of buying a car and saw their car buying experience impacted by the automotive semiconductor shortage, they would be looking for other brand options with available vehicle stock. In contrast, 14 percent of survey participants mentioned the lower vehicle availability would make them choose used vehicle options.
