In 2021, a 65 percent share of Nigeria's pesticide use was attributable to pesticides that were classified as being highly hazardous pesticides (HHPs). Following closely behind were India and Vietnam, both of which had significant proportions of HHPs in use, accounting for 59 percent and 44 percent of pesticides in use, respectively.
