In 2022, freely accessible printed newspapers recorded the highest consumption rate in Hungary, measuring at 73 percent. Newspapers that needed to be purchased or subscribed to recorded a 48 percent usage rate, while approximately one-third of Hungarians read newspapers acquired from their acquaintances.
