In 2024, at-home internet services were the most common telecommunications service among Portuguese households, with a penetration rate of 90.6 percent. The region of Greater Lisbon recorded the highest share of households having access to this service, namely 95.4 percent. Mobile internet attracted the lowest share of household users, presenting a national access rate of 49.7 percent. In Alentejo, only 41.5 percent of households had access to this service, which was the lowest share among all regions in the country.
