In 2024, there were a total of 14 countries in the process of forming a National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (NAP). An additional 19 countries from all regions of the world have published a NAP. The remaining seven countries have not displayed a willingness to commit to a NAP. Many countries, however, are following national strategies toward achieving environmental, social, and corporate governance related goals.

Either committing to the NAP initiative or reviewing the details of the NAP and making no formal commitment. The remaining countries not counted in this list have had no formal contact with the NAP initiative.
