According to a 2022 survey, seven out of ten consumers feel more comfortable using a payment method that doesn't require sharing their financial details with merchants while purchasing online. Moreover, even though 62 percent of respondents acknowledged that some level of risk of fraud is inevitable when shopping online, a majority of 59 percent expressed more concern about online payment fraud in 2022 compared to the previous year.
