In Portugal, the number of households wired with hybrid fiber-coaxial cable remained practically unchanged from 2020 to 2023. The Portuguese region with the most households with this type of telecommunications connection was the Lisbon region, with 1.5 million households in 2023. This region was followed by Northern Portugal, which had 1.1 million houses connected with HFC. On the other hand, the Azores remained with 85 thousand households with HFC in 2023.
