The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), also known as Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, was signed in 2021 by President Biden. In 2022, it provided 550 billion U.S. dollars of funding, of which roughly 10 percent was for clean energy-related investments. The private sector, the state, and local entities were each eligible for roughly 40 billion U.S. dollars of funds to be invested on clean energy projects.
