Italy: banking app downloads 2023

Intesa Sanpaolo Mobile was the leading banking app in Italy between 2015 and the first quarter of 2023, with total downloads through iPhone App Store exceeding four million in the observed period. Quarterly downloads of Intesa Sanpaolo's banking app peaked in the second quarter of 2021, when almost 300,000 people downloaded it. Among the leading neobanks in Europe, Revolut had the highest number of downloads in the observed period, but the apps of traditional banks, such as Intesa Sanpolo or Unicredit, performed better.
