Some 2,904 charging grants were attributed by the Clean Vehicle Assistance Program to consumers in California between 2018 and 2022, including 1,591 grants improving consumers' access to public charging, and 1,313 grants for the installation of private home chargers. This amounted to over 5.37 million U.S. dollars in grants for electric vehicle charging. Across the same period, most of this funding was allocated to electric vehicle buyers in the Los Angeles area.
