According to a 2022 survey of established and non-established decision-makers in Belgium, 95 percent of the respondents thought the country was performing better or as well as the European average in terms of availability of workforce with technology skills. The network of technology start-ups and research institutions constituted another factor with regard to which Belgium was performing better than the European average, as reported by 43 percent of respondents. On the other hand, 22 percent of respondents considered the tax approach to global tech companies a domain where Belgium was performing worse than the European average.
