In 2022, Brazil consumed 27 percent less natural gas than in the previous years. European countries also registered large drops in gas consumption that year. In Germany, gas consumption decreased by 16 percent. Overall, global natural gas consumption witnessed a drop of 0.3 percent in 2022.
