According to a survey conducted by LocalCircles, 54 percent of the respondents across India answered that they had received an average of at least one to three spam or promotional messages on WhatsApp as of February 2023. The source revealed that WhatsApp users had noticed a rise in receiving spam messages on the instant messaging app compared to the previous year.
