The price growth rate of housing construction costs in Southern Europe varied a lot from country to country in 2023. The largest increase in construction costs was found in Turkey, a country that has had problems with hyperinflation in the past years. Nevertheless, the cost of building a home in the rest of the countries included here increased at a lower rate than in 2022. The cost of building a home in Northern European countries such as Norway, Sweden, or Denmark also increased that year.
