Data from a U.S. survey conducted in April 2023, found that women were more skeptical about the impact of AI-written books on the book industry than men, with 29 percent of female respondents saying they believed the effect would be mostly negative. A further 37 percent had no opinion, and only five percent thought AI-written books would be mostly positive for the book industry as a whole, compared to 13 percent of men.
