In a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in March 2023, about 73 percent of female and male respondents in Singapore reported that rising inflation affected their ability to pay for basic necessities such as food, clothing, and healthcare. By comparison, 48 percent of male respondents mentioned that they were unable to save due to inflation.
