A survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in March 2023 found that 73 percent of respondents in Singapore reported that rising inflation affected their ability to pay for basic necessities such as food, clothing, and healthcare. By comparison, 50 percent of respondents mentioned that inflation affected their ability to pay utility bills.
