In 2022, voice call duration between two fixed telephones in Portugal reached almost 2.2 billion minutes, whereas this number totaled only 565 million minutes when it came to communications between a fixed and a mobile phone. Fixed telephone service amounted to more than three billion minutes, while nomad VoIP traffic totaled 204 million minutes. In 2023, fixed-line voice call volume decreased in all access types, with the biggest decrease, namely 31 percent, occurring with non-geographical numbers.
