As of 2023, 58 percent of single women and 72 percent of single men in France considered sexuality to be important in their lives. There are some differences depending on the income level, which has different consequences on the importance given to sexuality according to the gender of the people interviewed. Indeed, the higher the monthly income of men, the more they tend to find sexuality important, while the opposite logic applies to women.
