Shipments delayed in customs were identified as the main challenge of cross-border e-commerce by almost 43 percent of supply chain professionals surveyed in early 2023. Customs regulations and Harmonized System (HS) codes came in second, with 41 percent of respondents. The other issues most respondents chose were related to costs, either for the supply chain, tariffs, delivery, or returns.

* Located in all world regions. A total of 732 respondents started the survey, of which 465 finished completing it. Of the total of respondents, 436 came from manufacturers, retailers, and logistics service providers.
