As of October 2022, the finance blockchain application accounted for 17 percent of leading application filings at China's Cyberspace Administration Office. According to regulation, all blockchain projects have to register with the country's internet watchdog to enhance cyber security standards. A significant part of the registration is that companies are responsible for the data stored on the blockchain.
