According to a survey carried out in August 2022, the majority of respondents in the United States, China, the United Kingdom, and the European Union listed renewable energy as the priority for energy investment. In the U.S., new investment in fossil fuels was supported by 23 percent of respondents, whereas in the EU and UK the share of supporters stood at nine and eight percent, respectively.
