As of June 5, 2024, nearly 415.5 million U.S. dollars were attributed to new electric and fuel-cell vehicle buyers in Los Angeles, making it the Californian county receiving the largest amount in total rebates since the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project started. Buyers in Orange County and Santa Clara were second and third in the ranking, receiving total rebates of around 207.6 and 159 million U.S. dollars respectively. Los Angeles, Orange, and Santa Clara were also the leading counties for new battery-electric vehicle sales in California in 2023.
