As of February 24, 2023, over 320.25 million U.S. dollars were attributed to new electric and fuel-cell vehicle buyers in Los Angeles, making it the Californian county recieving the largest amount in total rebates since the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project started. Buyers in Orange and Santa Clara were second and third in the ranking, receiving total rebates of around 160.25 and 135.11 million U.S. dollars respectively. Los Angeles, Orange, and Santa Clara were also the leading counties for new battery-electric vehicle sales in California in 2022.
