According to a regular survey conducted in Hong Kong to monitor public sentiments and behavior, around 46 percent of respondents said they ate less at restaurants in the past three months as of December 2022 in order to manage their costs of living. Only 20 percent of respondents said they did not make any lifestyle changes recently despite the increasing costs of living in Hong Kong.
