According to a 2023 survey by Rakuten Insight on inflation in the Philippines, around 67 percent of respondents indicated that they reduced recreational activities such as dining out, going to bars, cinema, etc. to cope with inflation. Meanwhile, 60 percent of survey participants stated they bought cheaper groceries, while 50 percent shopped at discount stores.
