The majority of Japanese consumers drink alcoholic beverages at least once a week, as revealed in a survey conducted in May 2022. The largest share of respondents, almost one in three, stated that they consumed liquor every day. Only 6.7 percent claimed that they did not consume any alcoholic beverages in the past year.
