According to a January 2023 study of iOS users in the United States, approximately 27 percent of all in-app spending on TikTok went into buying 65 coins. TikTok coins are a virtual in-app currency used to reward creators on the platform and buy marketing promotions for content. TikTok subscriptions corresponded to approximately 10 percent of all in-app spending among U.S. users in the examined period.
