As of June 5, 2024, nearly 594,100 vehicle owners eligible for California's Clean Vehicle Rebate Project initiative received in total over 1.5 billion U.S. dollars in rebates. Battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) were the vehicle segment receiving the most funding, with around 426,400 BEVs amounting to close to 1.2 million U.S. dollars in purchasing incentives.
