Among 50 albums released by Korean artists between January 2021 and September 2022, around 97 percent of them included a CD among the randomized goods included in the album. Other common randomized goods included posters and postcards, at around 48 percent and 27 percent respectively. It is standard for K-pop albums to include various goods such as photocards and posters, which incentivizes fans to buy and collect albums.

* Analysis was conducted on 50 music albums released between January 2021 and September 2022 by the following Korean artists: BTS, TXT, LE SSERAFIM, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, EXO, NCT, aespa, TWICE, GOT7, NMIXX, BLACKPINK, TREASURE, MONSTA X, IVE, Kep1er, ASTRO, ATEEZ, Lim Young-woong, and Kim Ho-joong.
Randomized goods are item types that are guaranteed to be included in the album, such as photocards, where the exact version received by any given consumer is randomized. Out of 50 possible photocards, an album may include any two of the available ones without knowing which ones they will be.
