The high residential property prices were the leading reason behind the low homebuyer sentiment in the United States as of the third quarter of 2022. About 44 percent of homeowners and 46 percent of renters who believed the time is not right to purchase a home were discouraged by the prices. Additionally, over 20 percent pointed out that the current economic conditions were not favorable.
