As of February 2023, the number of 5G users in China reached 592 million. Since already a significant number of consumers use 5G internet and the country has invested in 5G internet infrastructure, reaching a large share of the population, the three telecommunication companies announced that they will reduce their annual investments into 5G gradually over the coming years.
