According to a 2022 survey among internet users in Chile, social media and messaging apps were the most used online platforms for more than 80 percent of the interviewed participants. More than 70 percent of respondents used search engines, online banking, and video streaming services. Additionally, most of the country's internet users were between 25 to 44 years old.
