Attitudes toward the metaverse among Muslims SEA 2022
In a survey conducted in May 2022, 85 percent of Muslim respondents in Indonesia and Malaysia agreed that they would like to see metaverse spaces created specifically for Muslims. In contrast, the share of respondents who did not think that the concept of the metaverse was compatible with Islamic values was 59 percent.
