A survey on travel plans during the Ramadan and Eid period (mudik) in Indonesia in 2023 found that 57 percent of upper-class respondents planned to travel during Ramadan and Eid. Visiting family and friends in hometowns and villages is an important tradition during the Eid holidays in Indonesia.
