According to a survey conducted in December 2022 in Japan, more than 44 percent of podcast listeners stated that they were interested in music. Other common areas of interest included cooking, travel, food, and movies.

*The original sample size consisted of 10,000 respondents, of which 1,567 used podcasts. Those who stated to listen to podcasts at least once a month or more often were regarded as users, while those who stated to listen to podcasts rarely or not at all were regarded as non-users.
