Share of individuals using social networks in Portugal 2018-2022, by region

Throughout the observed years, there was a progressive increase in the use of social networks for all the regions of Portugal, despite occasional fluctuations. The region with the highest use of social networks was the region of Madeira, which presented a share of 62 percent of use in 2018 and of 72 percent in 2022. Following, the region of Lisbon presented a usage rate of 67 percent in 2018, and one of 71 percent in 2022. The region with the lowest share of social network users was Alentejo, with a share of 60 percent in 2018, and one of 62 percent in 2022.
