The average annual per capita expenditure for cancer care was over 85 thousand Indian rupees on average at rural private hospitals and over 106 thousand Indian rupees on average at urban private hospitals across India in financial year 2018. Furthermore, the private hospitals had a much higher hospitalization cost for this non-communicable diseases than public hospitals in that year.
