In 2021, a survey conducted in Morocco found that the most popular medium for getting news updates was television in both urban and rural spaces. In fact, the share was higher than 90 percent in both areas of residence. Other popular media sources in urban areas were social media and the internet, respectively. Whereas, in rural spaces, the second most popular source of news was the radio.
