Share of intra-EU services trade by product 2021

Commercial services, transport, and travel make up the vast majority of services traded between member states in the European Union. Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 Pandemic in early 2020, travel services shrunk considerably as a share of trade in 2020 and 2021, dropping by over four percent from pre-pandemic levels. At the same time, ICT services have increased since the beginning of the pandemic, reflecting the increasing digitalization of work in the EU.
